What this reads
Slicers write a summary into the G-code file as comments: the estimated print time and the filament used. This page reads those comments and multiplies them by your prices. It does not simulate the print itself. Common comment formats from PrusaSlicer, OrcaSlicer, Bambu Studio, Cura and Simplify3D are recognised, and formats differ between versions. If nothing is found you will see a message and can use the manual calculators below instead.
How the cost is worked out
Material cost is the filament weight times your price per kilogram. Electricity is the average printer power times the print time times your price per kWh. Machine wear is an optional cost per hour, which you can work out with the cost per hour calculator. Some slicers give filament length but not weight; in that case the weight is worked out from the diameter and density you choose.
Limits to know about
Slicer time estimates can differ from the real print time, and this total does not include failed prints, waste, your own time or taxes. To add those, use the price calculator or the quote calculator.
